Error 53 seems to be caused by a problem with the Touch ID fingerprint sensor. There are a lot of articles around about this. Plus a lot of post on Apple forums with not a lot of good responses. From everything I have researched, it seems to be a hardware issue that can not even be repaired at the Apple Store. They just replace your phone. I know this may not be the response you were hoping for.
