IOS apps not using dynamic type

Really enjoying my 3 week old Iphone 6+ but find it frustrating that many of the major apps that I used in Android don't use the "Dynamic Type (scaled fonts)" feature of IOS?

What's up with the razor thin super tiny characters??? Evernote is a good example (yes you can zoom into a previously created note but look at the font size for "creating a new note...text, camera, etc.). Any.do is another example of a fixed super small font.

Bummer to have such a nice larger 5.5" screen ONLY to have to squint or pull out my readers (ha) to read the text.

I think IOS's stock mail app makes a good use of the Dynamic Type feature but trying to use gmail or google's inbox app I'm back to the super tiny fonts again.

And can the carrier/time/battery info on the IOS status bar get any smaller (yes, zoom mode does increase a little bit).

I remember in my 20's I loved super small fonts (i.e. Palm Pilot, etc.) but as I get older...not so much. :)
