I cannot remember my login and my cell is locked out. How can I get this unlocked

My iphone 5S is locked out and I cannot remember the password. I used it for work so I have not needed it for a bit and just forgot it. How can I either reset the devise so I can get in or have it unlocked?

Welcome to iMore! You refer to the 4 or 6 digit passcode? You will have to connect it to a computer and iTunes. Put it in DFU mode and restore. You will lose your data, including photos. To set back up, you will need your Apple ID and password. There's no other way.
