can not connect to itunes with my 5s?

hi my brother recently gave me a iphone 5s which the screen was broke ... so i replaced screen phone turns on all the buttons work fine just the screen touch doesnt work !! and it says slide to upgrade on the front .... right ive red online that i got to manuely install ios to correct this problem ??? ive downloaded the ios firmware but when i connect to itunes its asking me to confirm on the phone in order for me to gain access to itunes which i cant as the touch screen doesnt work ??? is there anyway i can bypass all that in order to install ios on phone or is it no good ?? thanks

If the touch screen is not functioning... there's a chance there's an issue with re-assembly...

I've already thought off that but I red something online it happened to someone else and they said to install iOS manually and that fixed the problem just can't get into iTunes to sort it lol all head work

Forgot to mention my brother has lost the ID connector would this happen to be my problem or is that just for the thumb print scanner ???
