I'm gonna try and go from the moment I start my day in apps:

  • Alarm
    iMessage
    Hangouts
    Facebook
    Gmail
    Twitterific
    MyFitnessPal
    Pocketcasts
    iMessage
    Camera
    Twitterific
    iMore
    The Verge
    Pocketcasts
    Google Search
    MyFitnessPal
    Safari
    Gmail
    iMessage
    Angry Birds Star Wars II
    Camera
    Facebook
    Twiterific
    MyFitnessPal
    Pocketcasts
    Day One
    iMessage

Not always in that order but pretty close. You'd think I'd get better battery life than I do.

30 minutes of calls
6 Hours of Podcast listening in Pocket Casts (Downloaded in morning over WiFi)
Check news on Feedly 5-10 times a day for about 2-5 minutes at a time
Instagram 2-3 times a day for 2 minutes at a time
Vine 2-3 times a day 1 minute at a time
Twitter 5-10 times a day for 2 minutes at a time
YouTube videos 2-3 on LTE per day about 20 minutes total
Various web browsing total 1 hour a day
10-20 iMessages per day

I have no wifi at work so 10 hours of the day is LTE only.

This nets around 10 hours of usage and I usually plug it in before bed with 30-40 percent remaining.

There really isn't anything I don't use my phone for in a regular day, depending on the area I'm working in will determine whether or not my battery lasts the day.

In the morning,
Hit the snooze button.
Hit the snooze button again
Turn the flashlight on so I don't kill myself trying to get out of the bedroom while my wife sleeps
Check the weather, read NYT, read some other news sites, check my email, check my schedule.

At work I have an internet connection and a phone, so don't really use the phone except to check my calendar, email, get a bunch of texts, check some stuff for work on an app, and at the end of the day if I have a lot of paper work, I'll listen to some songs. Get the occasional message on google hangouts from the wife.

At night I'll listen to iTunes Radio on it, surf the web on it a bit before I go to bed (or I may use my Kindle).
Then occasionally switch cases every week or so.

On the weekends, I'll use it to look up places to go and use the gps.

Hi guys,

I really wonder what do you do on your iPhone in a regular day.
Well I usually get up around 6am every morning. I will let my dogs out ("Tiny" Pete, Penny, Ralph, Molly, Mimi, and "Old" Chip) to relieve themselves. Then I fire up the Keurig with my favorite Starbucks blend for my first cup of coffee of the the day. Then I make my way back to the bedroom where I remove my iPhone 5 from it's charging cable. Then it's off to the home office where I plunk down in my Herman Miller Aeron chair that sits directly in front of my 2013 27 inch iMac. (Removed) To the OP I hope my data & time are not in vain, and that you are able to use it for a speedy solution for your battery drain issues. After examining your original post with my untrained eye. It seams to me that you use your phone a lot, and that might be causing the battery to drain much quicker than if you didn't ... :)

If the moderators are going to censor what I do with my iPhone, they should really be happy the OP didn't ask about what I do with my first gen. iPod Nano !!!

I send about 500 texts a day, check my mail every half an hour, listen to about 2 hrs of music ON MY PHONE, BBM my friends, look for ridiculous pics on the web, about an hour of talk while walking home from my school and I end the day with about 75-80% battery left. This is all on my Launch day iPhone 4

I am someone that can get three days on a charge... Since I am a deskjockey, I do most of my stuff on my machine during the day, and my phone is mostly for texting and random instagramming.

An average day:
Alarm
Turn off Airplane Mode around 8am when I get settled at work
Text through Messages/iMessages about 15 or 20 a day
Random Instagram checks
Maybe check the calendar to make sure it matches my online calendars and paper calendars
MAYBE a phone call
A few minutes with GSN casino
When I get home my iMessaging goes through my computer, mostly.

I check email on the desktop most of the time.
