Yea my wide 2 year old 4s usually doesn't make it a whole day on the weekends as she works 16 hours but during the week it's better. I say her battery is still good and she charges it up every night and leaves it there. Apples batteries seem really durable. I'm wondering if thee is something in iOS that prevents overcharge the battery. Indoubt it though.
Yes. Once your battery reaches 100% it stops charging even if it remains plugged in.

I meant more on the lines of stopping the battery at say 80% compacity but still have the OS report 100%

I highly doubt they would do that, but I can't say for sure of course. It would be interesting if they allowed you to set the point at which you wanted the phone to stop charging.

Yes I do doubt that. That would be nice but it's the batteries digital circuitry that relays to the OS what the percentage is. That can get messed up. That's why u have to calibrate batteries on phones every so often .

What I wanna know is why does iOS use so much battery when wifi is on. In the android world it's all about having wifi on to conserve battery

I leave my wifi on for that reason. Apple recommends it conserve battery also.

Were you listening to music? If not, 10 hours of actual usage is really great.

Nope. All web and app usages but no processor intensive games. And I'm very similar battery usage today although I haven't used it nearly as much.

Yeah that is great usage time. I can get 48-60 hours out of my battery, but not 10 hours of usage. More like 6 to 8.

I hope it's not too bad but I'm not too worried- every time I get a new smartphone everybody howls at battery life and every time I plan to buy a just mobile gum battery. But battery life ends up being good enough and I never end up buying one.

I think the battery is great on the 5s. I have everything turned on and I mean everything.

    Wifi

    3G

    Location services with everything on

    Parallax

    Background refresh

    Google Now

    Bluetooth

Auto brightness on and set to around 40% (this screen is extremely bright)

    Push on

    Calendar set to push

    Email set to manual

A few calls and texts throughout the day

    Facebook ( of course :-P )

    Restored phone from backup

Unless I'm Watching videos or playing games like Asphalt 8 this I my typical battery life.

I was very interested and curious about your battery life but for some reason I can't see the attached picture you uploaded. Would you check that out?
