LOL I have a theory on that. I think most of the kind of people that will stay up late to be the first to order a phone are geeks who want the latest and greatest and want it on day one. the kind of people who want the 5S because its the best.

the kind of people who will want the 5C will be non techie types who just like the pretty colors and don't care that its last years technology or about having the best tech on day one. They are also price sensitive, which means they won't be as willing to break contract to get the phone sooner as the geeks like us are. they'll order them when their contracts are up and/or they see them in store.
