4 weeks before iPhone 4s are shipped

A good friend of mine who works for AT&T told me today that she got an email from AT&T stating Apple and AT&T are up to 4 WEEKS out for shipping. Holy crap Steve !!!!!! I have been waiting for my new iPhone 4S for 2 weeks now. I was #12 on the reservation list. They only got 7 phones in on the release day. Her store ordered 40 iPhone 4S's. Looks like maybe 2 more weeks. This is killing me.

I ordered on 10-12 and received shipping notification with tracking number last night. It's shipping from Hong Kong, not US.

When I looked last night, at least three of the 5-6 apple stores near me had AT&T 4S's available for pickup today. Odd that AT&T stores would have such a difficult time setting stock.

A client of mine is in the same position. She pre-ordered through AT&T and is still waiting. I walked into our closest Apple store on 10/16 and walked out with mine.

Drive to a larger market city and i bet your wait woes end...if your town has one AT&T store that doubles as a pharmacy and the sheriff's office, you're probably going to wait a while, lol.

Depressing. Seems like I got rid of my Android HTC Thunderbolt right on time. Couldnt stand that battery life.

I chose the 4s over waiting for the Nexus, and I think I did a damn good job.

64gb 4s > 32 GB Nexus.

I laughed so hard when I read this Sean.... I do live in a small farm town in Indiana and the AT&T store is also part of a family owned Hardware store. LOL
