why does itunes sync my wifes contacts (google) on my phone?

i use exchange to sync my contacts and in itunes i DEselect the option so my phone does it and not itunes. my wifes iphone is the complete opposite and she ends up with my contacts as well. i have also noticed this with apps when i select apps to sync then plug in her phone the same apps sync. doesnt itunes know that it is a different phone /library? that as always annoyed me and there must be a fix for that?

i think this is the kind of thing iCloud will be good for... you sync your contacts there via your email... and done... don't even sync them with iTunes at all what so ever... that way you and your wife have no chance of sharing contacts.

And if you still are... then you're doing something wrong.

ok, i am on IOS5 GM now. can i test this out now? i have it set to sync my contacts with icloud. if i delete exchange now, should my contacts still be there?

yeah... they should still be in iCloud... also they're located on iCloud.com... altho if your not a dev you might have to wait till next week to get in there..

google is pretty good to sync to as well... but iCloud should do just fine
