Well the Droid X is definitely not a slouch..

Basically comes down to OS preferences and possibly the size of the phones, etc..

I am, I wasted my upgrade on the Droid X in October and i've been fighting with Verizon since. I'm on my 7th DX now and Verizon will allow me to upgrade to the iPhone 4.

The Droid X is the most overate phone ever made.

    Pros:
    Big Screen = Big Keyboard
    Camera
8gig internal and 16 gigs removable storage

    Cons:
    HDMI Doesnt work
    Reboots on it's own
Deletes Photos on its own (over 400 pics gone)
Music Player only works when it wants to
    Corp Email Doesnt work
Facebook put everyone that has a phone number in you contacts
    Phone runs hot
Email ringtones always revert back to stock
    Stock launcher is always sluggish
Brightness setting always revert back to default settings
Phone locks up all the time
    Locked Bootloader
1Ghz cpu but the same apps and games run Much smoother/faster on iPhone

that was enough for me.. I had 3 android phones in the past 2 years and it's enough for me. Android is growing fast but they never finish what they start they just move on.

oh yeah, the Wifi & battery life.. Lack of support from Motorola..
I'm on my 7th Droid X right now so these aren't just random problems.

I've heard the support system for the droid OS AND the phones themselves is pretty lack luster...my friend said they actually have to get people in the droid community to write hacks for the phone just to override issues that come in the updates that are few and far between...
