iPhone 4 random chimes/tones???

I can't figure this problem out. I do have notifications on, but my phone will randomly make chimes and tones. I then open my phone and I can't find what the chime was for. And the chime/noise it makes isn't even in the 'text tones' list anyway.

I have no idea why my phone is randomly making noises. Please help.

Mine did this at one time. I finally was so agitated that I turned all notifications off and I turned them back one one at a time. Took a few days, but I finally figured out which app was doing it. Hope this helps!

Various apps on the iPhone have different sounding notifications...Facebook has a little tone and the notification will go away very quickly, making it seem like it notified you to nothing. BiteSMS also has an issue where it will drop the notification window from the lock screen quickly at times.
