Downloading Photos to iPhone

I am new to all of this, so thanks for bearing with me. Have looked and looked regarding downloading pics TO my phone from my computer. Can this be done through iTunes? I did get some downloaded from my Picassa albums, but they were the wrong ones and now I can't delete them from my phone.
Any help will REALLY be appreciated!

- Click on the photos tab in iTunes
- Choose the folder ( or folders ) you want to sync to your iPhone
That should be it.
