Hi,

I got a 3GS. It was all fine when I first bought it. But after installing tons of applications (I don't know exactly when) something went wrong and now my iPhone doesn't turn off the screen (the lights) on the "Slide To Unlock" screen.

If I slide and enter the menu, after the period (I set) it locks and turns off the screen. That is OK.

But if I press the Home button when the screen is off. It stucks at the "Slide To Unlock" screen and never turns off the lights.

"Auto-Lock" setting in General Setting is set to 1 Minute. I tried changing it to any other and rebooting the phone several times. No help...

I found the problem. It is the app. 8IconDock v1.1
I removed it and the sun shines.
Damn I got used to this app :(
Try backing up the iPhone to iTunes, reset to factory settings, re-install the firmware, reinstall data and apps from backup, and then install the app again.

If the problem recurs, you know what to do. Might be nice to report the problem to the application author.
