A nice email feature seems to have been lost after upgrading to 3.0.
Previously, when entering an address in the "To:" field, I would see a list of contacts immediately, sorted by how frequently (or recently) I've used them. This was handy when mailing myself a reminder, which I do often, or sending a message to my wife: after typing one character, I would immediately see the desired address.
Now, this feature appears to be gone altogether. Instead, as I type, all the contacts are searched and displayed in alphabetical order, after some lag (I have a large address book). I must type more characters to narrow down the search enough to avoid scrolling to hunt for the contact. So, the process of sending to common addresses is now appreciably slower and more tedious.
I've checked with a couple of my friends, and they are seeing the same behavior.
Is this a known problem? Is there a fix? I've searched for discussions of this online, to no avail.
