There are almost 3000 widgets in their widget section. How do you know this one will work w/the iPhone? I didn't see it stated anywhere.

Perhaps they can all work w/the phone?

didn't Jobs say the device would run widgets? a lot of room for speculation here, but if it really does run osx then it should run them...

Second bullet:

What?s New in this Version
- Zoomable!
- Designed for the size of iPhone?s touch screen <<<<<<<<
- New ?Traffic Light? buttons to suggest your actions
- More competitive AI
- More streamlined UI
- Double-click (or ?tap?) the Table to Check (like gesturing at a live poker game)
- Added the ability to ?Check Out? (or fold whenever you want)
- New Card Back choice for Mac OS X Leopard
- More statistics (for registered users)

It could just be the developer sneaking that in there to get more exposure, but who knows?

Wow, didn't even see that one...

If it is stated, it is true. Def not for exposure, moreso considering it is on APPLE's web site, not the developers.

Apple took the iPHONE bullet out

Looks like they made them drop that bullet point!

Well, the reference to iPhone was dropped from the page on Apple's web site, but the product page on Scenario Software still mentions iPhone:

http://scenario.com/index.htm?page=poker/downloads/index.htm

"Redesigned for the size of iPhone's touch screen"

- and -

"Note that Apple's iPhone is scheduled for release in June. Apple has not yet disclosed plans to allow third-party widget development for the iPhone."

Another one:

However, gambling game 'Texas Hold ?Em' doesn't appear to be the only third-party application in development for Apple's multimedia-capable internet appliance ? it seems that dating services hope to exploit the personal communicator to boost their services, too.

Developer Miguel Sciaudone contacted Macworld UK to say: "This will be an application running on the iPhone in summer. It's currently in development and will soon be in Beta testing. It will not be a Widget."

All rather dubious.

So, either that app says IPhone owners need help finding a date, or that they are incredibly promiscuous. Take your pick I guess.

Jobs said "they recognize the importance of 3rd party apps for business users, and a final decision hasn't been made yet". I've said it since the beginning, they have to allow 3rd party apps. And when they do, what will Palm do? Wait I know! A couple new colors, 32 Mb more and half the battery life of the 680!
