Setting time zone help

So I was going in the settings and went to location services on my iPad and went to system services and notice the setting time zone is purple meaning in use .. Well I notice it never turns off unless I turn it off and when I turn it back it gos straight back to in use ... All apps are killed .. Is this normal ?

So I searched and searched others have noticed also I kinda did notice battery didn't last long so I disabled it and we will see I don't travel much anyways lol

Same problem here

I have a wifi only model on 5.01 and am experiencing the same behavior. I notice on my iPhone 4, which has GPS, the indicator only turns on briefly. I'm assuming the constant illumination on the iPad 2 is a bug. I'm curious if you have a wifi only model? These units don't have a GPS antenna so the battery drain is probably much less than it would be if it were constantly poling the GPS unit for location data. Still, it's annoying and i've turned it off for now.
