Charge battery?

I just got my ipad in the mail today. Should I let the battery die all the way down before charging it for the first time? Does it matter?

I'm of two minds on this w\ newer batteries rhese days I would say it's not neede but I did it with mine. So I would say it doesn't hurt just do it.

i thought that your supposed to let your battery completely die once every month to keep it working as best as possible?
