Setting up cellular data on iPad Pro 9.7

I'm thinking of setting up my cellular data on my iPad Pro 9.7 with T-Mobile because they offer the best rates, in my opinion. I don't have an account with T-Mobile, but for those iPad Pro 9.7 owners who have T-Mobile service set up on your device, do I need to have an account with T-Mobile in order for me to take advantage of what they're offering? Yes, you will need an account with T-Mobile to take advantage of their offerings.

You might be able to do prepaid service in the cellular settings. Since I have my phones with T-Mobile, I added on my Pro with them for $10 a month for 2 GB's.

There is a built in SIM in the iPad Pro, or you may insert a SIM card from T-Mobile (or other GSM carrier).
