Unable to download apps

Hello, we purchased the iPad Air yesterday and are unable to download any apps. Once you enter the password it does the waiting circle icon and then asks for password again. Tried offing notification updates but that has not worked. Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to iMore. Could be an issue with Apple severs. Could be busy or down for maintenance. Been known to happen. Just try later.
