Why I cannot update my apps?

When I want to update my apps, it requires both Apple id and password, which when I download a new app does not require, and after I typed in them, the app didn't update and the button turns back to update. Please help me I'm using iPad 2 iOS 8.2.

1. Update to the latest iOS version for your device.
2. Sign out of the iTunes and App Store.
3. Reboot and then sign back in to the iTunes & App Store.
4. Try updating your apps.

Thanks for this! My iPad 2 is updated to 9.2.1 and I have similar issues when trying to update. I find rebooting usually takes care of this, but it's good to know about signing out and then back into iTunes & App Store.
