Cancel the alert - both 'new clock widgets' fizzled & stopped before supper time far less overnight. Back to my trusty Widget Toolbox clock.
I have trouble with all the analog clock widgets. Not sure what the problem is.
The very basic clock from Widget Toolbox is the one & only which has performed consistently. It's far from spectacular but meets the requirement of 'telling time' well. Back to the drawing board.
The Drawing board....
All of my Widgetopia analogues to date have pooched - so let's give this combo a try.
I have decent luck with Widget Toolbox. Also Clock Face does better than the others. I wish I knew why they don't work any better than they do. No problems with the digital clocks.
Here we go again - 'just when.......'
My nice digi-analogue click widget pooched twice as have ( to date) any Widgetopia varients. I'm trailing to more from separate Apps ( stacked) as another overnight test.
Yup, stacks come in handy. I use them on all of my homescreen widgets.
Just a few of my large widgets. Changes the look and information in an instant.
Re 'the clock widget conundrum' -
And the survey says....
Further to yesterday's attempts I again added the pretty bluish Widgetopia digi-analogue from earlier to my now '3 clock trial' stacks. That one froze again so I deleted it. The serious looking one which displayed location & time zone became jumpy and erratic this morning so it's gone too. Leaving me this which I liked and so far so good. Really baffling me is that the Widgetopia blue analogue-digital hasn't skipped a beat on my iPad mini, go figure.
I think the only analog clock widget that has zero problems right now is the Apple Analog Clock.
I really think that these widget clock issues will be corrected and improved as time and updates come.
Unfortunately the Apple version has a white background.
The iOS analog clock goes dark at night though.

Correct. The screen presentation and the bright white bleed through unless in Reduce transparency ( which affects the Dock) are the problem. But I can live with 'cool widget' as long as it doesn't freeze or bump. Then I still have Widget Toolbox' version of more or less the same.
