Not sure if iOS 12.1 or Facebook at fault.

Got a bit of weird situation which is one of three faults.

iPhone X with iOS 12.1 running the latest version of the Facebook app 197.1.

Just in the last few days I’ve found when scrolling through the newsfeed that the scrolling stops responding when placing your thumb or fingers on the screen to stop scrolling. It generally seems to happen if you try to stop scrolling on a video post.

So I’d say it was the app, as it does it on my iPad Pro 10.5 as well.

I have had the digitiser replaced on my X once already when it became unresponsive so I’m hoping it’s not the phone although I’m due an upgrade in December.

Just checking out there wasn’t just me or has anyone noticed this happening too.

Probably Facebook. They're notorious for having a bad app and not great support.

I'd go with with what BreakingKayfabe said. Their seemingly weekly tweaks speak less to improvements as to fixing something else they already buggered - only to replace it with a new issue. There have been times when I have just resorted to using m.facebook.com on my phone and skipping the app entirely.
