Nearby & Transit in Spain

When will "nearby" be available in Spain? Specifically in Barcelona. When it first came out it was available for like a day, but then it disappeared and hasn't been back. When I went back to the US for a visit it showed up, but once I came back to Barcelona it was gone again.

I'm also really anxious for transit directions to be available for Barcelona. I haven't been able to find anything about when they'll be available.

I'd love to just use Apple Maps, but it's just not possible for me without transit in my city :-(
