photo editing app issues

Hello everyone,

For the last couple weeks I have noticed my pics are coming out all black when using the native editor and filters. When I go back to the editor, I can see the photo with the edits, but when I go back to the photo app it is all black so I end up reversing the changes and using camera + to edit. Anybody else with this issue? I have the 6splus if that matters.

Thanks.

I haven't noticed that. I just checked it. It sounds like you're losing your light setting.

Thanks, but I'm not sure if that is the issue as everything looks good in the editor but once I save it looks like this

If I go back to the editor the pic is fine.

That is a copy that I had to revert back and edit in Camera+, so its ok. The black frame is how it is saved in the photo app from the built in editor. Hope I'm explaining correctly.

Try changing the filter in the camera app. You may need to restore your phone as new. Not from a back up. It's a PITA, but it fixes a lot of things.

Thank you kindly for attempting to help! Maybe I'll just stick to editing in Camera+ for now, not ready to set up as new yet :straight-face: I thought maybe it was the use of the filter, but I just tried to do a basic edit with just contrast and color adjustments and the same thing black frame saved. Oh well, at least I have a workaround for now.

I do all my editing in 3rd party apps. Camera+, ProCamera +HDR, Enlight, Facetune, MaxCurve, Snapseed and others.
You can send photos straight from the photos app to other apps like Camera+.
