For anyone waiting for an A5 jailbreak for either the iPad 2 or iPhone 4S, I made a PC program (in C#) for personal use that will watch the HTML in a certain part of a webpage for changes, and alert you if it changes. It alerts you with a message box, flashing text on-screen, and an instant text message to your phone.
You can enter the URL of pod2g's blog (pod2g's iOS blog), enter the title of the most recent blog post (A4 release), set the time between checks, and it will check every so often to see if there has been a new blog post. You can set it to check anywhere from every 30 seconds to every hour.
I figured I would release it to anyone else that wanted to use it, it's very easy to use and completely free. Screenshots, a virus scan, and a download link are included below:
