Blackra1n / Unlock Issue

Hi Folks

This is my first post, ive spent a while searching the forum but couldnt find an answer.

Ive jailbroken my iphone using blackra1n and that went smooth enough (saying that, none of my apps seem to work now, they instantly crash but ill worry about that further down the line) My problem is that when I run the blacksnow unlock process it crashes everytime.

A bit of research has suggested that apparently my problem could be due to my modem firmware which shows as: modem firmware 04.05.04_g

Can anyone please advise?

how old is the phone?
if the phone is passed a week 39, it has to be jailbroken a different way.
after 39 they put a new boot rom into the phone to prevent jailbreaking and any sort of unlocking, though, nothing is perfect. It still can be done. You must do a tethered jailbreak tho. I am sure there is a tutorial or how to floating around the forum somewhere.
