- I love this app! It's so smooth and seems to be working perfectly. I also love how it will background the currently open app just by launching proswitcher without having to hold down the home button. I currently have it set to launch with home button double click and swipe down on the status bar.12-20-2009 05:26 PMLike 0
- I installed this app for two minutes. Uninstalled it right away. I put it in a category and it wiped out the whole CategorySB. I had to reorganize my Category and put all the apps back in. Might be a glitch with CategorySB but I won't try it again till it comes out of beta.12-20-2009 05:46 PMLike 0

- I'm still trying to figure out the use for this. You have to activate it by pushing something or swiping something, and then swiping through the list of open apps, and then click on it. Isn't that the same exact steps you would go through to actually open a normal app? Just sayin...12-20-2009 08:00 PMLike 0
- Yeah, but if you have 7 open apps on ProSwitcher, you still have to swipe 7 up to 7 times to get to the last one, which is about the same number of swipes if you didn't have this app installed.
I'm beginning to think everyone is caught up in the multitasking hype to realize that this is just plain stupid.12-20-2009 08:16 PMLike 0 -
Just a note you should also have backgrounder installed.
Settings are under the stock settings area for the iPhone, and you can configure it as you want.Last edited by DRTigerlilly; 12-20-2009 at 08:29 PM.

Don't get me wrong.... if you have 7 pages...um.... uh.....find something else to occupy your time?(J/K)

after you've added & saved it, you can search for ProSwitcher, and install.

i just type it in just like that? or am i missing something? do i type whats in the link into the add sources, or do i type it word for word as you typed it? or do i need to click that or copy and paste it or what?
I tried a couple things and couldn't locate the source or whatever it said, so I think I'm missing a step, or not typing the exact right thing into the add sources box.12-20-2009 08:27 PMLike 0 - the site keeps changing the link to a summary of the link. So i just redid it in my post so you can see it.12-20-2009 08:30 PMLike 0
- Ok so aside from the builtin iPhone apps. What apps are you folks using with Backgrounder and ProSwitcher? I'm trying understand how others are using it. As of right now the only reason I use Backgrounder is for apps like Pandora and when I'm done using Pandora I disable Backgrounder. Also multitasking uses memory right, but what about battery (more than usual)? I'm not knocking either product they both are very cool.12-20-2009 08:49 PMLike 0
- One of the benefits I can see is load time.... some apps take a while to load. If I load the app, then enable it for proswitcher.... its right there ready to use...so in my simple thinking...takes less time to swipe a few pages than to wait for an app to load. Just my two cents worth...

That's just how it goes.12-21-2009 01:53 AMLike 0 -
In my case, I will use Cydia as an example.... I have waited close to 30 seconds to it to open... OMG!!!! Drives me nuts!!!! Now on ProSwitcher.... it's up and loaded! No waiting!
It pays to be devil's advocate sometimes... makes for good conversation and debate!
ONE MORE THING!!!!
It was mentioned by someone that categories crashed on them when putting this app into one.... I have another dilema.... CATEGORIES WON'T EVEN OPEN for me!
Like it was stated.... this is a beta version.... I will shoot them an email explaining this.12-21-2009 08:12 AMLike 0 - I have been told here that you can turn off the toggle in proswticher settings not to show default apps, like the ones mentioned above.12-21-2009 08:18 AMLike 0

- can anyone tell me other than the visual effects is this better/worse than Kirikae? I have Kirikae installed and I love it. It is VERY stable and it is always being updated by the programmer. The program is contantly running in the background and is very simple to use.
It sounds like with this new program, you actually have to "background the app" whereas with kirikae you just double tap within a program to return to the home screen. Does this new program operate the same way?12-21-2009 03:01 PMLike 0 - Yes, you can have it so that ProSwitcher does not show "default apps". I thought you were asking if they always run in the background as well ( which they do ), but they can be hidden.12-21-2009 03:14 PMLike 0
- anyone notice that certain apps don't always show up in "card" form? Bank of America, when I double tap, doesn't appear with the other card; just a blank slot where it should be. Any solutions for this? I have mainly noticed it with programs that run on the internet but I am not sure if that is the cause or issue specific...12-21-2009 04:13 PMLike 0
