No service after jail break 3g verison 2.2

I jailbroke my Iphone 3G version 2.2 and every thing went perfectly. when my fone restarted however i couldn't get any service or make any calls i couldn't get the internet either. can somebody help me out please thanks.

Did you install yellowsn0w?

You might try restoring and rejailbreaking.

Did you jailbreak with QuickPwn or with the Pwnage tool? If it was Pwnage Tool, and if you are locked to a carrier, you have to uncheck the 'Activate phone' option when creating the firmware otherwise you lose signal. This is because the phone is already activated through the carrier so checking it off cancels the process.
