Location Based Alerts?

Hey

Since I got iOS 8 on my iPhone 5S (I installed the GM a week ago), the location triangle has been in my status bar, pretty much the entire time. I have not seen it disappear. So I did some digging in the settings, it turns out 'Location Based Alerts' is behind this. I have not got any Geo-Fenced reminders setup at this time, however I do occasionally use them.

Please let me know if you have the same issue, if your phone shows something similar, or if you have a solution. I'm worried this is causing battery drain. I have noticed a significant hit (Drains around 50% faster) since this started.

I don't have that issue because I don't use location-based alerts/reminders, but during the times I tested it out, I did notice that the locations services icon stay visible in the status bar for quite a while.
