How to Disable Government Alerts on iOS 7

Here is a quick walk through on how to disable Government Alerts on your iPhone iOS 7



Tap on Settings



Tap on Notification Center



Scroll to the bottom of the screen and Tap Amber Alerts and Emergency Alerts both to the Off position and there you have it.

FYI You can only disable the two.. Not Presidential alerts which will still come through if need be...

The first time this feature went off I was at the airport, in line waiting to go through the TSA. All of the sudden, in unison, every single person that had an iPhone had this frightening tone go off, including mine. You would have to have been deaf not to hear these phones go off in the terminal.
