I'm trying to drum up a great conversation here.

Currently we seem to have four major providers when it comes to email, whether paid or free.

Whether you're an iOS device user or not, which email provider do you think is the best: (in no particular order)

    Gmail
    Hotmail
    iCloud (ME.com)
    Yahoo

Here's looking forward to an interesting conversation and banter.

I slowly transitioned my personal email to my iCloud account. I still have multiple gmail accounts for various things (work backup, bills, etc). I like to keep things separated.

So I guess my list would be

    iCloud
    Gmail

    My main email is from my own domain but use those others so;
    1-Gmail
    2-Yahoo (forward to gmail)
    3-Hotmail (forward to gmail)
4-iCloud (have it setup but don't use for email)

...seems a lot of people have multiple email addresses. I simply can't have them separate, i.e. one for 'online' things, and another for friends\family, etc. I want it all in one bucket

    Hotmail (An old .msn address)
Gmail (might drop it because of the recent privacy policy)
    <Comcast>
    iCloud (keeping it clean)

I normally just use two email address,

    My Main one is Gmail.
    Secondary is iCloud.

I had Yahoo!, but noticed it was very spammy. So I deleted that one.

I have a Hotmail account, but again it was very spammy as well. So I just leave it alone, it got locked out.

Made a new Live account, and I just use that for junk.

I'm now using iCloud as my primary mail provider. No ads, and it syncs easily with my devices.

Ah yes ads! I can't stand those! I use a Google Apps email account simply to avoid ads. Sad I know...

If I didn't sway from time to time to a BlackBerry device, I'd certainly stick with just one email account, iCloud (ME.com)

But, if I ever decided to switch to a BlackBerry (true gadget nut), iCloud email, Calendar and Contacts would be a pain to then get onto the device and get it updated all that time...

I'm disliking Google more and more, so I've pulled as much as I can away from them.

But I just can't quit you, Gmail.

Gmail is the most consistent service, and offers the best features and spam filters.

I use iCloud for everything else though (calendars, contacts, etc.).

    1. Gmail
    2. Yahoo!
    3. Hotmail
    4. iCloud

But I'm primarily using Gmail. The best protection from cracking ever (knock on wood!). Watched my account being attacked very persistent recently. The hacker made several attempts for five days. And it looks like he finally gave up.

Yes, I do......Now with that in mind, I am not saying that the other email providers I mentioned do not suit 'my needs' because they do and do so quite well.
