When I downgraded from iOS 12 to 11.4 I wasn’t able to pair my Apple Watch again so I had to go back to iOS 12 in order to be able to use my Apple Watch again. I tried everything

Right. watchOS 5 would typically need iOS 12. At least that's how I remember it in the past.

I don’t have watchOS 5 on my watch yet I just have ios 12 on my phone at this time
