When I did my initial Beats Music review back in January, I found the service to be so good I was almost certain I'd switch from Rdio and leave it behind. I did just that and for almost three months, I only used Beats Music on my iPhone, the web, and through Sonos. Unfortunately, small issues turned into much bigger ones that, ultimately, have led me to cancel my subscription. Here's why...

I decided to try Beats music. At this point, I gave up on it. My library and playlists are all available offline.
Yet, I plug the phone into the USB in my car stereo, switch on iPod.
All I get is no song, nothing happens. And when I click on the library within the app, it is telling me no songs are available offline.
Everything is downloadied for offline listening, I don't know what else to do.
This is why I will continue to build my library from iTunes, by buying my music.

I was looking at iTunes Match as another option. It is much cheaper, but can you play it offline in your auto?
And how about creating your own playlists? I am just wondering if it is another alternative to Beats, or even Spotify which I have been looking at.
I'll have to read up on it, and see what it's about it.

I personally would rather own my music. I lost a lot of my CD's from past years of moving a lot. Plus they got scratched and damaged.
I figure if I bought a few songs a month, or even an album. it's still cheaper than the streaming services.
I can't get past $10 a month for music you never own. Besides, I am also cheap. 😜
iTunes Match might be a better option.
Too bad the songs aren't a bit cheaper if you subscribe to Match.
But hey we can't have everything can we? Happy Easter everyone. 😊

After talking with my Nephew who has Spotify Premium.
He convinced me to give it a try, I only have a handful of songs in my iTunes library.
So far, I am happy with it. I have created several playlists.
I have them set for offline use, and it works like a charm in my car.
What I also like, I am discovering music I haven't heard in years.
In the meantime, I will stick with it and see how it goes.
Even though my stubborn side doesn't want to give in to the $10 a month.
If I like a certain album enough. I can still purchase it through ITunes.
