Deleted Mail box

Anyway to get a deleted mail box back on my iMac, have a back up but not recent enough.

Unfortunately the only way to recover it is with a backup. Wish I had better news for you.

Thanks, i had a time machine back up from 6 months ago didn't realise it was so long since i had done one, stupid lesson learnt.
Anyway the important emails that i had been keeping were on it so all good.

You're welcome. Not being condescending to you in any way but I can't express it enough about backups. Accidents happen. I have two clones of my drive and a time machine backup. I've had drives fail out of the blue and am so happy I have had something to fall back on. Same with my phone. I back it up every day as a precaution. I hope to never need it but for the peace of mind.

Depending upon the mail server message retention and your mailbox configurations, maybe you can setup another one and try to download again?

If the account was set up as imap, all your emails should still be available.
