Hi, my photos library on my macbook air seems to be stuck.

- Photos Version 3.0

- macOS high sierra Version 10.13.6

Originally every photo that was on there had a small exclamation mark in the bottom right corner saying I was not connected to the internet and therefor the photo could not be downloaded/edited.

To try and fix this, I changed the settings to 'download originals to this mac'. My mac did not have enough storage to complete this so i changed back to 'optimise mac storage'. Something happened and now there are no photos and it just says "Updating..." in the middle of the screen.

I left it running for the night and no progress. I am aware that it could take some time but it seemed to be bugged from the beginning. (I have around 3,000 photos).

I would like to have all photos on ICloud if possible.

Thanks in advance!

Edit: I have Purchased 50gb, still no change

I have the 50GB plan and have had it since before this problem happened, any other suggestions?

You can always, reboot your Mac, router, and modem and then see if the sync will begin again. In addition, don’t hesitate to contact Apple Support for assistance.
