Why can't I find the iCloud backup when installing on the new iPhone?

Cannot find Icloud backup when installing in new Iphone

The Iclpoud backup runs smooth (Iphone 5s) but when trying to get this backup when installing in my new Iphone 6 this backup version is not on the list. What can I do?

Welcome to iMore! You'll want to make sure that you're using the same Apple ID to sign into iCloud on both devices. If you're still experiencing issues you can always create a backup using iTunes on OS X or Windows and then restore from that backup onto your new iPhone.

If your running 8.2 on your 5 and 9.1 on your 6 it wont be able to use the backup. They both need to be running the same OS. Give that a check. I just had this problem with replacing a broken ipad mini. Had to update the old one to match the new.
