Some are saving money getting the 7, rather than the 8. The new features on the 8 just aren't important enough to them.

The one thing I completely disagree with is the mention of the iPhone 8 not being promoted. Heck, I can’t watch TV and not see an iPhone 8 commercial....

Key word is "guess", we don't really know just yet. We'll find out Friday!

I think this was the article I read about the production "strain" for the iPhone 10, but who knows, in the end we have to wait and see yup. I read elsewhere Apple has between 2-3 million available, so that might not be enough.

Apple visiting Foxconn as iPhone X production strains

They didn't raise the price, it's the same as it was at the announcement, at least according to the Apple website.
The 8 is $50 more and the 8+ is $20 more than 7/7+ at launch. It is a pretty bold move top raise the price of their devices when they will no longer be the flagship. It makes the 7/7+ $150 cheaper and looks like a real bargain. Maybe that was the goal.

The 256 GB iPhone 7 was $849.00 when it came out. The 256 GB iPhone 8 is $849.00. The iPhone 7 32GB was $649.00 when it came out. There is no 32 GB iPhone 8. The 64GB iPhone 8 is 699.00. I am not understanding.
