How do you know what type of iPad you have

I been trying to find what type of iPad I have but I don't know if it's an iPad Air or not. How can you tell what iPad is which please help

On the back of the iPad is a model number, i.e. A1566 for the iPad Air 2. Get that and you can either Google it, or go to this page on Apple's site which will help you verify which model you have:

You can also find this info under Settings -> General -> About under "Model"
