what is imap, it is draining my data fast my supplyer EE said this is the cause.

my supplier EE says this is the cause of my data GBITES going fast and I don't know how I got this and to turn IT OFF,help

Internet Message Access Protocol

Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) is a communications protocol for email retrieval and storage developed by Mark Crispin in 1986 at Stanford University as an alternative to POP.

Change all your email settings to manual fetch instead of push.

This is what it is; however, it's probably your e-mail settings that need adjusted.
