Unable to restore Photos Library
Hey everyone ...
I noticed I was having issues with Yosemite. I figured it was from just upgrading over the past 2 years.
I went into recovery mode, and did a fresh install of OS X. When it was all done, I restored my Photos library (which is 65GB in size) from Time Machine.
When I opened Photos to make sure everything was back, I got a message saying: Repair Library - The library "Photos Library" has inconsistencies that must be repaired.
When I click on the "Repair" button (which is my only option), it does its thing & hangs on 95%. Then, I get an error saying: The library could not be opened. Photos has attempted to repair the library "Photos Library", but is unable to open it.
From here, all I can do it click on "Open other..." or "Quit".
I tried restoring a slightly older photos library, but still get the exact same error.
Does anyone have ideas on how to resolve this?
Should I maybe take this up to the Genius Bar or call support to have this looked at?
