iOS 8 problem???

So when I listen to music from my phone and hook it up to my car so I can listen to music from my car speakers; and I want to text the music I'm listening to by using the audio text; the music stops and I can't text the music from my phone because it stops. Can/should/will Apple fix this?
What do y'all think? Has any one else tried this?
