Yea I did not like this news either, as I prefer to upgrade yearly, BUT lately RIM isn't putting out phones that quickly!

This is really disappointing because I too like to upgrade early and I didn't mind paying a little extra for my phone to do it... but thats verizon, continuing to take away all of the reasons I've been sticking with them...
