3G in Vermont

I live in southern Vermont and according to local media and local AT&T rep 3G service will be coming to Vermont. AT&T rep told me that 3G would be coming "any day now" and that was 3+ months ago! They have been selling 3G enabled netbooks for months now also. I own an iphone 3Gs and without 3G service it's basically useless unless using wifi.

Does anyone have any info about when 3G is coming to VT?

I was told by a sales rep in the new AT&T store in West Leb, NH that 3G was coming in October (they don't even sell iPhones at this store yet)
