How do I get a contact to appear in the share recent-contact bar

iOS 14.4.2, iPhone 8. When I select a photo and click the Share icon, I am presented with a list of recent contacts, including several WhatsApp ones. But not the one I usually share with! How do I add a contact to the recent-contact bar, or purge the bar so it will fix itself?

That’s a self learning thingie over there. If the app you’re using to share stuff supports it, eventually the person you’re sharing stuff with will appear there.

I figured something like that must be happening, but I want to reset the cache or whatever the right terminology is. Any ideas how to do that?

There is no way to achieve such a reset.
