I can’t get my Apple Watch to pair with my iPhone 7. Watch series 2, 42mm

I bought this series 2 42mm almost new, and they said they couldn’t get it to pair with their iPhone. I’m having the same problem. I’ve tried everything.

If the Watch is associated with someone else's iCloud account then you are NOT going to be able to pair it with your iPhone. With that being said, I hope you didn't pay too much for the watch, being that the people you purchased it from told you in advance that they couldn't pair it with their iPhone.

I was burned a while back on a used one and now unless the watch will pair up with my device and I verify it, no cash exchanges hands, period.
