Wanting to buy an iPhone Xs with monthly planning

I want the new Xs but prepaid att plan doesn't offer the Xs to me yet. Should I switch to a Verizon (they offer a good military discount) or just do the Apple Upgrade Program?

A long long time ago I switched from Voicestream (T-Mobile now) to Sprint because they didn't offer the Blackberry 8330 (Burgundy) in their product line up. It was a color exclusive to Sprint at that time. Feel free to join in on the multiple threads around the forum. Enjoy.
