Why does my car not allow handsfree phone calls

I have an iPhone 6 with iOS 11 and a 2017 Honda Civic. Recently the Bluetooth in my car will not allow me to make or answer calls over Bluetooth. The phone is paired to the car, I can play music and listen to voicemails over Bluetooth, but not make and receive phone calls. When using the phone and it will not even give me the option to switch to handsfree. How do I fix this problem?

Is there a reset option for your car’s Bluetooth or overall infotainment system? If so, reset it to see if that corrects the problem.
