Movie player / mkv app, play from phone storage’s file

Hello,

I’ve been playing around creating movie clip using imovie.

I tried to airplay to my appletv (just play through photos) but sometimes it got very laggy

Any good movie player that can play mkv file smoothly and able to airplay ?

(Tried vlc, infuse, but these 2 apps seems can only play videos from server, not from my phone storage)

I do not have any experience with using such apps.
