How do I remove the address history from Map App?

On the map app on my iPhone 4, I want to remove the addresses that I have looked up or received directions to.

Open the maps app and swipe up. You should be given the list of previously searched addresses/destinations. From there, swipe left to be given an option to share or remove - choose remove.
