I cannot locate the News app on my iphone 7

I have the News widget showing latest headlines, (left side of home screen), but there is no app icon neither on the home screen nor under settings. So the app is already installed and running, but there is no way for me to open or navigate it.

Any experience with this or hints?

Maybe it's 'only' the widget. Is it working?

And where are you located? News isn't available worldwide yet.

You most likely have your iPhone set to a region that does not cover the app.
